July 7th is the day of Tanabata or the Star Festival.
On the day, people write their wishes on colorful strips of paper and hang them on bamboo branches.
The festival is based on a Chinese legend about a couple separated by the Milky Way.
The couple can only come together once a year on the night of Tanabata.
The event was introduced into Japan in the 8th century and became popular during the Edo Period.
This year our ryokan prepare bamboo branches.

You can enjoy concert by flute, Koto (Japanese harp) and Japanese flute.
And you can do sparkler. (30 yen per one)
